Supporting your child

At Windham your support is vital in making your child’s learning journey as successful as possible.

Autumn Term

During the Autumn Term we hold Curriculum Meetings. These meetings are designed to give you an insight into what you can expect your child to experience whilst they are with us.

Big Windham (3 Year Old Provision) Monday 14^th October 2024 – 9am and 1pm

Little Windham (2 Year Old Provision) Monday 11^th November 2024 – 9am and 1pm

Jigsaw Workshop Monday 30^th September 2024 – 9am and 1pm

Little Windham will have their first individual Settling Meeting. These meetings will give you a chance to meet one to one with the class teacher to discuss how your child has settled into nursery life. These meetings will run from the week commencing Monday 21st October 2024. If applicable your child will also have their 2 Year check meeting. 

Big Windham will also have their first individual parents meetings. These meetings will give you a chance to meet one to one with the class teacher to discuss how your child has settled into nursery life. A sign-up sheet will be available in the school office. These meetings will run throughout the week commencing Monday 11^th November 2024. 

Spring Term

During the Spring Term we invite parents to join us for a Play and Observe Session (Big Windham Only). This is a chance for you to see your child in action, see how independent they have become and how motivated they are to learn. Keep an eye on our fortnightly newsletters for dates and times.

 Big Windham will have their second individual parents meetings. These meetings will give you a chance to meet one to one with the class teacher to discuss the progress your child has made and areas to develop. A sign-up sheet will be available in the school office. These meetings will run throughout the week commencing Monday 10^th March 2025.

Little Windham will have their second individual parents meeting. These meetings will give you a chance to meet one to one with the class teacher to discuss the progress your child has made and areas to develop. These meetings will run from the week commencing Monday 31st March 2025. If applicable your child will also have their 2 Year check meeting. 

Summer Term

During the Summer Term we host coffee afternoons with all our local feeder schools. This is your chance to meet the new reception teachers and other families attending the school. Be sure to read our Windham Guide on Getting Reading for Reception. 

 Little Windham will have their Celebration meeting in the last few weeks of term. This meeting will reflect on the successes your child has had at Windham over the year. If applicable your child will also have their 2 Year check meeting. 

Newsletters

Our fortnightly newsletters are a vital way to keep up to date with what is happening in nursery, we will let you know what your child will be learning in the coming weeks, things to look out for and any parent messages.
